Hey, everyone! Long time no see!

Elseth here,  along with Konayachi and Mijil, the artist and composer of Re:Curse!

Re:Curse is a submission to Novejam 2024, a game jam hosted by VN Project Indonesia. We'd like to thank all the organisers who have worked tirelessly behind (and in front of) the scenes!

The theme this year is "Kindness and Peace", "Challenge", and "All Around Us", which fits in perfectly with a tragic story that has been on my mind for a few months now. 

Hold on a minute. Tragic, you say? But the art and the premise and the themes...? Well, you know what they say... the bitter follows the sweet, and the sweet follows the bitter, but personally, I prefer spicy food... wait, where was I going with that? Errrr– point being, play to find out!

To be honest, Re:Curse is a very personal game to me, imbued with some aspects of my experiences and encounters– all the anxiety, regrets, and hope. 

When writing Re:Curse, I constantly thought of the people who brought light in my darkness, chased me when all I did was run, gave me a home when I had none, and shared their fire when I was a slab of ice. They may think of their words and actions as nothing, but they don't know they mean everything to me. I truly am blessed to have people who care so much about me without me even realising. 

I dedicate Re:Curse to my dear readers who need to hear the words that I once needed to hear... To the wonderful people who became my home... And in loving memory of a certain individual who paved the future I now live in.

I hope by playing Re:Curse I can pass their light to you as well. 

*Ahem* sorry, got out of topic there– Re:Curse  is still a demo but is fully playable. We are working on its full release, expected to be released some time next year- follow our socials for more updates!
